GOOD BYE!

WELL!

****** Silence ******

What do you have to say for yourself?

Speak up!

****** Silence ******

I have been slaving away, keeping the Palace ship shape, OK, Palace shape, and what thanks do I get?

Well I'll tell you what thanks, NONE!

Do you think it is easy keeping the mice from the door, huh?

Keeping the moths and spiders and flies in check?

Well do you?

AND keeping everything else including your tummy and waist size in check!

****** Silence ******

Again I say, what thanks do I get from you, peeps, well I tell you right now we're into minus figures, for sure!

And don't give me all that "well I have to be up at 4:30 in the morning and have to stay at work till 6 and be home at 7.

If the inattention and lack of  love wasn't bad enough, there's the lack of respect, you have been buying take away and doughnuts and wine!

I mean, I don't stand slaving away at the stove preparing a warm meal only to have it go to waist... er... sorry that is to waste, though with your waistline I was probably right first time.

Whats that?

WHAT!

What do you mean, I don't cook?

OK, so I get the food ready made, as it were, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be prepared, leaned off and generally made fit for the plate!

Anyways this is MY argument and what I say is..... um, well I do seem to have lost my thread, what was I saying peeps?

OK, yes thanks.

What I want around here is a little thanks, not to mention a lot more cream, and nip else this Princess is walking!

YES, you heard me right, I have had it up to here, and over there, with all this two timing that's been going on. It is either me or the your work!

WELL?

Whats it going to be?

This choice is yours and yours alone, which you will be if you don't choose me! Who else will keep you happy?

WHAT!

OK if that is what you wish then who am I to stand in your way, but I did warn you.

I'll be gone by the end of the day. I'll have my stuff collected by the end of the month. I understand there is a Palace in London that is short a Princess.

Good bye and good riddance to YOU!

OK peeps, did you manage to get all that?

Yes? I know your dictation skills aren't that good, so I kept it short, lots of short words, except understand, which is a bit long. purrs

OK, great job. Once we get the computer up and running, could you upload that final chapter for me, and mail it off to the publishers, maybe those great folk at Fit Cat Inc. would have it?

They did that wonderful book called RESCUED, the stories of twelve rescued cats, including the late Nerissa, brother of Seville, over at Nerissas life blog. In fact there is a new volume coming out very soon, which will be a winner, for sure and one for my Christmas stockings.

Oh yes, on that subject, could I have four stockings this year, as I have been extra good, and do have FOUR legs...

Thanks, Peep, you're a star.

I wonder if we could get it into the movies too? Hollywood could be just around the corner and a plane trip away!

Do you think there was enough steam? or ranch? I know peeps go for all that sort of stuff, in fact if it needs a bit more, I am more than happy to do the directing and some acting, for a small remuneration of course. purrs

Oh well, seems like another week has come to and end. Do you fancy a take away? my treat, I mean those long days are a real pain, I know, and so little sleep and bad food makes peep grumpy and miserable and sad, which is NOT what I want you to be.

Great, that's sorted. You get out the glasses and the cream, and I will just nip out for the food. Do you like yours with feather or fur?

Peeps does however feel very bad about leaving me and it is a constant wear on peeps conscience spending any time away from me. I to do fear being left, but I can at least fall back on my skills. 1. Thanks, and yes, winter means I need the fire lit and the food on the table and new sheets putting on the beds. Peeps is a good sort and I wouldn't leave unless something bad happened, like we were flooded out or ran out of cream. Oh yes, those doughnuts have gone, for sure, but I just have to keep checking under the bed, just in case. Mouses! purrs ERin

    1. Thank you, I likes to compliment my surroundings, and black and white is so easy to wear formal or casual. I have had peep do swatches for all the rooms and pink works well in the bedrooms, but not in the lounge where we opted for a turquoise with a light mouse brown trim, if and when it will stay in place! purrs ERin

    1. Ooh, I didn't think about that. I am sure Santa wont mind though, as our stockings aren't anywhere nearly as big as peeps, and certainly more resilient than my peeps woolly tights, especially those I found some mice had chewed through! purrs ERin

I don't really cook, either, but I do keep an eye on the leftovers (duck) about to be served for lunch...and as for cleaning, well, I clean the bed almost all day long with my fur duster.

    1. Hi Loulou, it is great to be in touch with a kindred spirit. Hmm, you get duck? I haven't tried on of those yet, they are a bit scarce in these parts, and none now land on the moat on account of the Kraken. Oh yes, cleaning the bed is a fine thing, I do more prefer the office chair though, as it has a fantastic fabric for easy fur removal, if you know what I mean. purrs ERin

  19. Erin, your royalness-ness-ness - are mew interviewing fur new palace staff-peeps? Really? OMC I have a better idea, back in day as an F.I.B. agent [I shouldn't really be telling mew this but what the heck] there was a department that employed certain tactics to brainwash peeps into doing anything they wanted! All I'm saying is; better the brainwashed peep mew know, than the one mew don't! MOL Oh and if mew need the brainwashing manual I can email mew a copy :D

    1. It is a great book and one that makes my peep cry, a lot. I should add that I meant to type Nerissa, as it is he who is in RESCUED. Nerissa is, was Seville's brother, and a mighty fine and close friend. He died not long after the book was published which makes it even more poignant. purrs ERin

  22. Trouble with peeps, I know how you feel. Finding good staff these days is a miracle. I think it is time to start an evolution an get thumbs like the humans, so we can open our own food, fridge and doors. We don't have to be nice anymore to get what we want I think the staff will miss our loveliness for sure. They will fall on their knees begging to serve us again.

    1. Hmmm sounds like a plan, and opening fridge doors would be quite handy, but I do worry about all those homeless peeps, and what they will be doing on the streets. We cats will end up having to go to work to feed them all, and take them to the vets football and so on. purrs ERin

  23. Erin! Thanks for visiting me--you are really something. I loved how you made your dictation extra-simple and short so your Humans could understand it. Maybe that's what I need to do, too.
