And now its story time!

This weeks story is called............Ooooh! Well I never

Well?

Well don't just stand there blinking and sucking air, make yourself useful and give me some ideas for this weeks blog will you, peep.

I mean I know its my blog, hence the name above the drawbridge.... and the Palace cat flap, and the bedroom and great hall, but we are a team. And whilst there is a me and an at in team, if you juggle things around, there is no you in team or I. Which means ol' fluffy brained one that it is your duty to help me out.

And I'll make sure there's some extra of the folding stuff in your pay packet this month. A few extra salad leaves will work wonders for your diet and are way cheaper than cash.... cash which you'd only waste that on pizza and chardonnay!

Anyways the news is a bit sparse this last week and ever since your Olympics fiasco when you were eliminated from the four by one hundred metre Sasquatch relay on account of failing the drugs test for banned substances, namely doughnut derivatives i.e. the holes in the middle, there just hasn't been a story worth sinking ones teeth into.

The whole things sort of going belly up, like your belly as it happens! But that's another whole series of blogs or one of those "Worlds Strangest" late night spectacles.

Come on, pass the newspaper over here will you.....

Hmm. World war threatened.... Seem to recall that movies on its third remake, and you'd have thought someone would have worked out by now that it just doesn't work and just gets everyone very annoyed and dead.

Says here global warming's on rise too. Well I could have told them that ages ago, you just have to look at the moat to see its risen a good ten feet since the Kraken came. Mind you that there iceberg we saw is great news for my Ready Iced Nip cocktail business, but not good news when I launch the new ES Erin Titanicus.

Oooh look at this!

Well I never....

Will you look at that!

Well that's a TUX for you, always out there working their claws to the quick to get the mice out of Downing Street.

Apparently Larry, the Prime Minsters cat, is not amused as his mousing average is taking a real battering. In fact some may say he's been letting things slip and has been seen lying down sunning himself outside in the street whilst international crises loom caused by a surplus of mice.

Palmerston however has Twenty seven confirmed mice since he arrived from the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in 2016 and speculation and talk on the nipvine is that there a quite a few more that didn't make it onto the official figures.

Just goes to show us cats who come from Rescues and shelters can rise to great heights of Public Service and Nobility.

Looks like Larry has been nursing a few wounds too, and lost his collar. Well in the cut, thrust, and smackie paws of modern diplomacy these things do happen.

Some have even speculated that what Palmerston and Larry do is actually just a mirror of what goes on behind the closed doors.

I'm betting what actually is happening is us cats are getting on with the politics and running the country whilst the peeps behind the scenes are serving cream and laundering all those government Green Papers and making them White. Who knew so much laundering whet on, not I for sure.

Hmm well that is all old news now, so hardly a revelation to my readers. Maybe there is something else I can blog about this week.

Oh gosh these pictures, of the flooding in Texas, this is awful. So may people and creatures affected by the hurricane and the rain and flooding. It just isn't natural, not natures doing surely.

Peep we need to do something. Have we any of those St Bernard dogs with the barrels underneath?

What about umbrellas? We have loads of those too, maybe a dozen do you think?

Why are you looking at me like that? I mean surely Texas isn't that big...... is it?

Really? THAT BIG! I think we'll need to re think the umbrellas then!

Some time later......

OK OK, so the idea of sending the left over sponges from the village summer Garden Fete isn't practical. How was I to know they were the Victoria cake sort and not the ocean variety, I just assumed when folks said how tough they were you had gone and bought the wrong sort!

At least my idea was way better than yours of sending buckets and the Palaces apply of teaspoons and labels! I mean we'll be needing them when we come to empty the moat for it's annual clean out. I just wish you'd have not gone and lost the chain for its plug.

OK so there's nothing else for it, I need to send some cash or bid on something in one of those auctions for the pets in need...

Get me a list of Charities, and More Charities and lets get donating!

OH....

Umm....

Hmm....

Peep ol' sport, love of my life and server of the best food ever, OK the last bit was nearly true but as they say it is the thought that counts, there is one teeny tiny issue with my largess. Would you be a sweetie, I seem to have left my purse in my other pawbag. I mean, would you mind terribly just getting out that plastic money of yours and saving a few lives?

Not sure where it is, huh?

Hmm well it was in your bag, hidden under the floor boards in the lounge bar in the West Wing, underneath the pink and white stripped sofa that you nailed to the floor the other weekend after you saw last months cream bill.....

Well it was, now its in the bureau by my laptop beside this months Issue of Country Cats™the one with the Double Cream Special Review centrefold.....

I think.....

At a guess.....

Possibly..... but I have absolutely NO idea how it may have got there, if it is.....

I mean it's not like I would be using it, now would I!

                                                    ~~~~~~ Almost The End ~~~~~~
This weeks post is dedicated to ALL those humans and pets in need in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, and Irma, and whilst we can't be there on the ground, we sure as heck are praying and purring for everyone in need, and donating too.... especially as I have the pin number to the plastic!
