Hello, and welcome to the 4th selfie of the New Year.
Remember, next Friday is Pet Photo Fails Friday! So buckle up your corsets, and lace up your pants (trousers in the UK and not undies), and be prepared for some (hopefully NOT literal) side-splitting fails of the feline human kind!
Anyways, enough of the cinema-style teaser, on with the show!!!
Mrs H says she is almost back to fine form. Alas, the gurgling cough tells me otherwise, so I have lessened her load for her by making sure I only have 5 meals a day rather than the usual 6. PLUS, I have been going for a take away too – far less washing up to do.
Anyways, in this week's selfie, you can see me taking my own advice to Mrs H – rest more, eat more, then rest more again – just to be sure. Seems to work for me so I reckon it should for Mrs H. . . once she's finished the chores, but not the sherry!
Thank you for visiting us this week. If you have any advice, hints and tips on how to reduce one's workload whilst still getting a full days quota of naps and meals, please do rush them to me via the comments section below. I promise I will spend the rest of next week testing them out, maybe even longer!
To see what our international blogging pals have been up to this week, be it handing out tissues or pointing out patches of snow they've forgotten to sweep away, then please click the links below, and enjoy the Hop!
You are giving Mrs.H a very good demonstration on how to relax effectively. I am glad that she is improving and hope the gurgling cough soon gurgles off!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Her gurgling off is even worse than gargling off that she does each evening. Heres to warmer weather and better nights sleep, MOL

Sometimes, it is necessary to DEMONSTRATE to humans rather than merely give them advice - which they don't always understand, poor things. Well, they ARE mere Humans, after all. It's best to show them, very clearly, what you mean (mol) - and We think you are demonstrating furry clearly, in this picture.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right there. Alas I have tried with the food but they just cant seem to cope with mice, MOL

You need to do an exercise video! I know I need one myself!!
ReplyDeleteA snoozersize video is more like it I think, the other sounds too hectic and tiring, MOL

You keep taking care of Mrs. H and that gurgling sound will be gone in no time. Six meals a day? Most of my cats get just four. I do give Glitter an extra one every now and then when she asks for it. She's losing weight and I do what I can.
ReplyDeleteSix is OK around here as all depends on volume (not Mrs H's singing!)

You kitties sure know how to live right!
ReplyDeleteWell I do for all the good it does me some days, what with all the nursing I have to do ;)

Erin, I knows that listening to the peeps gurgle is distressing. I hopes that Mrs. H is gettin' better ~ I am sure you can show her the road to recovery and relaxing. It is very kind of you to cut out a meal, I don't knows how you do it...she should be very thankful you are so thoughtful...hehehehee
ReplyDeleteSendin' her lots of POTP and healin' vibes!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
The trick with themeal cutting is to add the one your cutting to the other five ;)
DeleteDon't tell the staff I said that though, MOL

Humans LURV to watch sleeping cats, Erin...but we don't take a nap in solidarity! Why is that?
ReplyDeleteWell around here it is only me so I have to do all the work. If there is more than one of me, or you, then you can share the burden ;)

Great selfie!
ReplyDeleteI taught my mum to nap in the afternoon because by then she's had enough of the day and is very stressed and anxious.
Excellent work, plus you get to have the meals delivered on time too!

ERin, all the colors in the throw sure emphasize your gorgeous black and white furs! Looking good ;)
ReplyDeleteThey do don't they. Imagine if the blanket was my colour, then I'd disappear into it and likely as not Mrs H would sit on me. Now you can see why it is that colour. . . ;)

I see a little black and white jewel there on that blankie and I want to kiss her nose and tell her I luv her.
ReplyDeleteI think if Mrs. H wraps herself up in that blankie and cuddles with you, and follows your advice, then the coughs should be headed out the window and her back to good form to take on her regular work load. That means you'll soon be back to 6 meals a day. But you are so thoughtful in reducing them to 5 in the meantime to help her out. Purr purr purr.
Sweet prince, I love how we are so in tune and have thesame meal regimen. I hopes you will someday be here by my side and help rule this little princessdo with me and for me and with might that lets me take a days rest once in a while ;)
DeleteTill then, my sweet, I send smooches and purrs to you, and hope you will find them as warming and divine as they left me....
ERin
XOXO
