Another Short(ish) Sunday Selfie)

Hello, and welcome to another 'NOT a book review' selfie. For those that don't like long posts as much as we don't like short, I shall make this one as short as possible.

Here is me after a week of lots of editing, less reading and more thinking of plots for our fourth book! Do I look tired?

Yes, we are sending book three to our editor shortly, and need to think of a new plot for book four. Plenty of ideas, but whether they actually come together in the right way is another matter. Plots have a way of naturally coalescing for us. We start with a known point and end up pretty much where we want to be, but the text in between is an unknown.  Planning is pretty limited, which is not everyones cup of Earl Grey, but works for us. Fine tuning is where the fun starts, as well as making notes along the way to remind us to tie off loose ends.

Anyway, watch out for book two hitting the shelves later this year, all being well.

We are joining the Sunday Selfies, hosted by the wonderful Kitties Blue and their mum, Janet Blue, from the Cat on My Head blog in America. Click this sentence to visit Janet Blue's site.

  1. I hope all goes well with editing book 3. Letting the plot go where it takes you is very often better than planning ahead. Good luck with book 4. No wonder you look tired in your selfie, but still wonderful.

  2. Yes, you do look tired, Erin. Hugs! Our human understands the amount of work, stress, in writing, editing, etc. Our human worked in the media for 32 years before retiring.

  3. Well, ERin, you do look deep in thought as you plot, plan (or plunder? like a pirate?) ideas for your upcoming book. It is a process that boggles our mind(s) ... though June is hopeless with it. We tend to sometimes ponder and think, albeit briefly, about writing a story. However, after the first sentence everything falls apart. It is very strange ... we do admire you!

  4. ERin, you and your staff have obviously been working furry hard, so it's okay to write a short post for once. We shall look out for your new book whenever it hits the shelves.
