Whiskery Delight.

As you may recall, last week was all about missing seasons. This week happens to be more about a delayed season—spring. Mrs H and I nipped over to the old gamekeepers lodge to do a bit of delayed spring cleaning and pest control. Needless to say ol' Ned isn't into dusting on account of his bad eyesight, and is more of a hazard to himself and the ornaments.

So, in this week's selfie you can see yours truly directing Mrs H as to where to swish and swoop with her feather duster on a pole. Any stray spiders were my responsibility to round and chase to the door. . . . . .via the hearth, sofa, bookcase, piano, bureau, back to the book case, and then under a pile of old newspapers.

Let me tell you, it is a lot harder work than it looks, chasing a creature with eight legs and dozens of eyes and the ability to run upside down and up walls. Factor in they have lots of legs and loads more eyes, they make a formidible opponent. Anyways, come the end of the session, Mrs H says I fully deserved my nap and extra treats. And whilst she isn't entirely certain how many of the spiders actual did make it out the door, she says I did lose some weight, which in her book counts just as much.

Seasonal winners!

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

As you may recall, last week I posed the question as to which season do each of my expressions in the images below related to, and therefore which season had elude the camera.

This week, I can reveal which each picture relates to. Photo 1 relates to Autumn, when the leaves fall and the world takes a down turn.

         Photo 1.....

So sad, summer has once again left these shores. . .

Photo 2 shows my cold hard stare, like winter, which looks you in the eye and deals a mighty blow without care or mercy.

         Photo 2......
My best and suitably cold 'Winter be gone—or else!' stare!

Thankfully, Photo 3 relates to the upturn in the seasons—to Spring, and the dawning of the light when we look to the new sun and hope.

        Photo 3.......

Was that a sparrow I heard, and maybe a chink of light in the clouds???

Which means that the season missing in my collection is SUMMER.

Yup I looked alround for it everywhere. I looked under the sofa . . . .

Hmmm, not here but I do see a treat I missed!

I even looked in my SleepyPod pet lounger cum carrier . . . .

I am NOT napping—just cogitating where to look next. . . .

But there was no sign of the sweet summer sun, just the odd bit of fluff, some toys, an old pair of Mrs H's pumps, and 2.5 treats—not that I was counting, MOL

So there you have it, the sadly still current three seasons of my life. Summer has well and truly forgotten us this year when it comes to stopping around for more than a couple of hours.

Anyways, I am pleased to announce that not one, but TWO of my fabulous readers, Little Binky and Granny, and Dezi, Raena and their staff, guessed correctly.

Sadly the mousie I had hoped to catch and send to the winner is no longer in residence, and as splitting it would have been a tad awkward anyway, I have decided to send each a small selection of 'Erin' goodies and some treats (non-furry).

So if you guys want to email a suitable postal address to me at erinthecatprincess@gmail.com, Mrs H will get the packages off to you shortly.

If in the meantime anyone finds summer—NOT Summer Sparkle Cat as we know where she is, please do tell it that unless it turns up soon, I will be asking for a full refund.
