A Sunday Selfie tinged with sadness for a friend taken from us too soon . . .
We are participating in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies.
Mrs H and I were so saddened to hear only yesterday that Pete Cusack, Timmy's dad, had passed over the bridge.
We do not know why, and maybe never will. It is all so sudden, and very, very saddening.
But we wanted to tell Pete and all his family of felines that he will be forever missed. What their future holds, we do not know. The world is truly a worse place for his passing, and we hope one day to shine as bright as Pete did, and have as large a famaily too.
With somewhat tempered enthusiasm, here is this week's selfie from us. We, meaning, I, had just finished inspecting the mail and decided to take a well earned rest — is there any other sort of feline break, I ask myself?
We wish all our friends well, where ever they may be.

Yes, Pete's passing was a huge devastating event n our blogging circles. So very sad. We too are heartbroken over this loss:(
ReplyDeleteErin, you look sleepy!
Very sleepy now the weather has changed and snow and ice. As much boredom though.

Losing Pete was huge. We lost a genuine friend who blogged for the love of his cats. Not for money, or attention but just for love.
ReplyDeletePete will be hugely missed. He meant so much to so many people, more than I ever realised. His support for Dash Kitten will be much missed.
Heartbroken here.
That is the best reason to do it, to share and enjoy and be passionate about something you love and those around you, big or small...

Rest in Peace, Angel Pete.
ReplyDeleteIn deed, yes. May his soul be forever loved and valued, here and there.

That is a nice selfie, Princess Erin. we are so very sad of Dad Pete's passing. He was a wonderful human being, and a beloved frend to us, and so many others.
ReplyDeleteThe best and good seem to be taken from us far too young. The thing to do will be to honour Pete and his blog some way.

Oh Erin your selfie makes me want to come and cuddle with you! Like the rest of the pet blogosphere, we were devistated to hear about Pete's passing. We do know, that all of our befores, who are now OTB will be well taken care of by Pete, he has a heart bigger than the world!
ReplyDeleteYou would be welcome. Cold here and the more the merrier. Val would probably object though, MOL

Yes it is very sad and Pete will be greatly missed.

It's absolutely heartbreaking news.
ReplyDeleteWe will be in mourning for some time. That space that Pete and Timmy's crew of wonderful felines filled, deserves to be noteworthy beyond the joy and memory that he brought so many of us. A Day in honour maybe?

I am so sad about Pete. I have contacted the lady in charge of his estate and let her know I would take 2 kitties and another blog will take the other 2. She said right now 3 are in a rescuer's home and Fitz is with another.
ReplyDeleteI do hope they come to you and the other blogging home. I think, guess Pete would be most pleased if they did. Thank you for sharing that. If you know what happened, please do email me so I can rest easier.

ReplyDeleteYes. Same here.
DeleteThere are few words that describe the loss of one so special. Those you have said are amongst them.

It is furry sad about Pete and, of course, We are so worried about his kitties. Such a shame they can't all stay together.
ReplyDeleteIt seems they are going, hopefully, to two blogging friends of Pete's. It is good they are safe.

He was a dad to many, even though most of us had never met him. Loved, cherished for his kindness, he'll be dearly missed.
