A Sunday Selfie tinged with much sadness.

A Sunday Selfie tinged with sadness for a friend taken from us too soon . . .

We are participating in The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies.

Mrs H and I were so saddened to hear only yesterday that Pete Cusack, Timmy's dad, had passed over the bridge.

We do not know why, and maybe never will. It is all so sudden, and very, very saddening.

But we wanted to tell Pete and all his family of felines that he will be forever missed. What their future holds, we do not know. The world is truly a worse place for his passing, and we hope one day to shine as bright as Pete did, and have as large a famaily too.

With somewhat tempered enthusiasm, here is this week's selfie from us. We, meaning, I, had just finished inspecting the mail and decided to take a well earned rest — is there any other sort of feline break, I ask myself?

We wish all our friends well, where ever they may be.

  2. Losing Pete was huge. We lost a genuine friend who blogged for the love of his cats. Not for money, or attention but just for love.

Pete will be hugely missed. He meant so much to so many people, more than I ever realised. His support for Dash Kitten will be much missed.

    Heartbroken here.

    1. That is the best reason to do it, to share and enjoy and be passionate about something you love and those around you, big or small...

    1. The best and good seem to be taken from us far too young. The thing to do will be to honour Pete and his blog some way.

    1. We will be in mourning for some time. That space that Pete and Timmy's crew of wonderful felines filled, deserves to be noteworthy beyond the joy and memory that he brought so many of us. A Day in honour maybe?

  9. I am so sad about Pete. I have contacted the lady in charge of his estate and let her know I would take 2 kitties and another blog will take the other 2. She said right now 3 are in a rescuer's home and Fitz is with another.

    1. I do hope they come to you and the other blogging home. I think, guess Pete would be most pleased if they did. Thank you for sharing that. If you know what happened, please do email me so I can rest easier.
