Giveaway Winners and a Selfie

Hello and welcome to our weekend selfie session.

But first, hot off the ironing board and narrowly avoiding being swallowed up by Mrs H's huge starched and dazzlingly white pantaloons, we can announce that the lucky winners of our giveaway from the last post are:

Mudpie and the Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries & Meows blog &

The J Cats Blog

Congratulations! Please both confirm your postal addresses (in a comment that we will delete after use) and Mrs H will make sure a copy of the book wings its way, one way or another, to your letterbox.

Should either NOT wish the prize of a copy of our newly released book, please just say and we will redraw another prize winner.

Enough of the business side of things, here's a selfie of me on a cold autumnal morning, checking out the bed fleece COB comfort rating (that's Cat on Bed rating, MOL).

We are joining the Sunday Selfies, hosted by the wonderful Kitties Blue and their mum, Janet Blue, from the Cat on My Head blog in America. Click this sentence to visit Janet Blue's site.

    1. It was just Mrs H I smelled and saw. Smelled her lavender scent first then saw the flour on her fingers getting stuck on her camera, MOL

    1. We try to visit everyone on the day's cat blogosphere page as well as the Cat on my Head's page for the hop. The fleece definitely passed the snuggle test, would have got an even higher rating had it a pocket for a snack, MOL

  11. Will there be an eBook edition of your book ? We have so many books now that getting ebooks takes up less space so we get chided less often. But we are sure we want to read your book !

    1. Ahha, well you are in luck, as I have a spare copy for you, in paperback form. It's not a thick book so you can hide it somewhere when finished or pass on to another cat lover to read. Please send me another comment, with your postal address, and we, Mrs H, will send on.

    1. Glad you asked. This is a two sided bed throw with a 'sherpa fleece' one side and a soft short pile the other. I reviewed this on top of duvet, so as a single layer item this would rate lower. All round comfort was only a 6 as not actually very deep. Snagability for claws on the top layer, when 'kneeding in', was sadly quite high at a 7, so poor. I got stuck a couple of times each session, which is a shame as threads do appear which ruin the look. Warmth was an ok 6, but feather or wool would have worked better. So all round, for me I have to rate this only a 6. Doubling them up for improved performance would help. Mrs H says it needs to go on things as a secondary item or use as a personal on-lap or over shoulder shawl to keep drafts off.🙂
