Sunday Star(e) Selfie

Hello, and welcome to our latest selfie Sunday!

I had nipped into the guest room at Ned's place for a snooze, as part of my mandatory bed testing regime, and thought "You know what, let's take a selfie whilst I am here." Given the size of Ol' Ned's fingers, as well as shaking, it is a miracle they managed to press the shutter button. But with the aid of bale twine and a cunning balancing act using various garden implements, including fork, spade and two trowels, this was the net result.

Mrs H, who was busy in the kitchens experimenting with a new bread making machine from those nice people at Panasonic land, was suitably impressed and said I had an air of Queen Victoria about me. Maybe I can see that in the royal forehead. What do you think? Queen Vic or our dear Queen ER11?

However you week and selfies turn out, be it covered in soil or elbow deep in flour, we wish you a regal, happy, healthy and safe week . . .

Erin sits on her haunches on the guest bed, her face posed looking to her left. Her shortened ears are clearly visible. She wears her usual black and white tuxedo fur. Behind her to left is a brown door. To the right and behind is a white wall.

    1. No tuna, or chicken for that matter. Sad that, but at least the kitchens did not fill with smoke or burn down this time . . .

  2. That's a fine selfie, ERin. Our Mummy also has a new bread machine - well, actually, she's had it for about three months, and She hasn't used it yet!!! She has made bread manually though. According to the Instruction Leaflet, it can also be used to make yoghurt, and even jam!!!

    1. I do recommend getting them out the box. Mrs H was startled at how easy and healthy good bread is. She is pondering whether she can add jam and or marmalade to the bread mix to save time come breakfast . . .

  6. We're thinking Queen Vic. Not enough colour for ERII! Did you do something to your blog? The link we had been using now comes up as gobbledygook. We clicked on your comment on our blog to get here.

    1. Hello! How strange, I can only think it is something to do with changes at Google, maybe old links are no not accepted? "HTTPS://erinthecatprincess.blogspot.com" usually works fine. Mrs H has done nothing new, and the links on the hop are functional and looking sound and safe. We had something similar happen to us with other accounts, and have to reply to others posts using Google Chrome rather than any other to be sure to get comments to stick. Maybe save a screenshot of what you see, and message us, should it happen again?
Great answer and logic. VR it is then 🙂

  10. A lovely regal selfie, Erin.
I have at last read Flipped. I had intended to read it straight after WyrdWood but picked up two books at the hospital and wanted to finish them by my next appointment. It did take me several pages to get into it, but once I did I enjoyed it, particularly Charles Dickens.

    1. Pleased you enjoyed 'FLIPPED'. We thought it worked well for adults and kids. And Charles Dickens Mrs H thought seemed just like Simon Callow would have portrayed. We will be sending you one of our review favs to enjoy come Mrs H's pension day, so hopefully you can enjoy when having your treatment.

    1. It was, and will get much use from now on. So cheap too. A basic small Panasonic 1lb loaf machine, but economical with it. Miraculously, Mrs H did not ruin anything and the bread was highly edible. No more corner shop bread for her, and more cuddles for me.
