Sucking it up for the Palace?

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

This week I have mainly being dodging rain showers and very high winds. NOT in the palace I hasten to add but across the estate. Even Mrs H was caught out one day whilst digging the garden and ended up like Mary Poppins–sans umbrella–across what was left of my brassicas!

Anyways, I—being the helpful sort of princess that I am, decided to pose mid cleaning to do my selfie. Behind me can be seen the palace vacuum cleaner complete with a nifty tube for sucking up mice from those hard to reach places. This model is the Hitachi 'Super Deluxe 1000', which I'm guessing means them fiendish Japanese designers can get it to suck up 1000 mice! Personally I think them mice must be super small in Japan as not even I could cope with more than 3 mice at a time, well, not without a nap between courses, MOL

How do you guys cope with the house keeping chores, and do you have a favourite tool for helping get things done?

No Mice Here!

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

This week I have been trying to avoid folk that may be offended by MICE, especially the dead sort.

I got reported to Face Book for a violation of decency and/or their community code with my last post which portrayed a mouse that expired in the palace. And even though I had an explicit warning about the post including an image of a mouse, and both I and the mouse was decently attired in fur and not exposing anything, we violated somebodies sensibilities.

So an apology to Mr, Ms, or Mrs Offended, for showing what we cats do best—and naturally—and showing in the mildest, least-offensive and non-glorified manner that we could, the realities of life; and we hope that you are feeling better.

The said mouse was not wasted, and found a good home and fed a hungry crow family that came asking for food. Left to get on with itself, the circle of Life and Nature goes round and round; but it is man's intervention that puts a spanner in its works.

This weeks post is completely mouse free, and NONE expired in the making of it; though I cannot say that none were so lucky last night when I was out checking the palace gardens for my supper.

As an extra treat this week I thought I would give you a behind-the-scenes look at what was happening whilst my front end was dong the selfie. Mrs H and I hope you'll like this 'bit of tail' . . .  NOT a mouses. Enjoy.....

Have you guys ever done anything that left you wondering what exactly you had done that was so wrong? Do share if you can, and we can have a chuckle at life's ups and downs.
