Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!
We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.
To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!
This week I have mainly being dodging rain showers and very high winds. NOT in the palace I hasten to add but across the estate. Even Mrs H was caught out one day whilst digging the garden and ended up like Mary Poppins–sans umbrella–across what was left of my brassicas!
Anyways, I—being the helpful sort of princess that I am, decided to pose mid cleaning to do my selfie. Behind me can be seen the palace vacuum cleaner complete with a nifty tube for sucking up mice from those hard to reach places. This model is the Hitachi 'Super Deluxe 1000', which I'm guessing means them fiendish Japanese designers can get it to suck up 1000 mice! Personally I think them mice must be super small in Japan as not even I could cope with more than 3 mice at a time, well, not without a nap between courses, MOL

ERin
Hi Erin! Your selfie is just stunning, as always. Yes, we do have a favorite tool for chores. It's called Mommy! MOL
ReplyDeleteThank you. Ahh, yes, mine is called Mrs H! BUT whilst great to have automated my household, I do draw the line at outsourcing the mousing—well unless the outsource refers to the cream cheese sort of sauce, MOL
DeletePurrs
ERin

Such a purrfect Selfie with cattitude, beautiful purrincess. Granny smiled immediately while seeing your gorgeous Self...ie :D That Japanese must be one of a vacuum...1000 mousies, that means that you can't eat them all...*shakes head* that's not okay if you ask me, you know what they say, 3 snacks a day keeps the docter away😸 Pawkisses for a Happy St. Patrick's Day🐾😽💚
ReplyDeleteI know, sometimes technology really does get in the way of progress . . . . well, specifically my progress to my lunch supper and breakfast, MOL

ERin
Beautiful selfie! We try to avoid cleaning! We leave that for the servants!
ReplyDeleteGood plan. I wish I could but I do seem to be responsible for most of the dust around this place so it's good to show willing . . . . I did say show willing rather than actually do anything, MOL

That is a lovely selfie with a rare sunbeam shining on you. I agree, the weather has been atrocious.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was one of those moments that just came alive with possibilities, and was even better in black and white.

ERin
Lovely selfie there, Erin. BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteNow about these high winds... We've had 'em, too. Mostly at night. They appear to arrive overnight when the temperatures are goin' from 10 or 12 C one day, to -10 the next. And we've been havin' A LOT of those ups and downs topsy tervy swings as of late. I'm purrin' my nip plants are okay in the garage. MOUSES!
Thank you, I do love Black & White.
DeleteNow if the nip is at risk then best call in the military and the ministry to set up an emergency zone around your garage! And airlift in some warmth and extra still days and sunlight for you too. I mean we can not have Premier Seville's nip being ruined before the season and your peep has a chance to get it to maturity........ OK so maybe with your peep's track record we should leave it to you, huh?

You're one brave kitty to help out with the vacuuming, Erin!
ReplyDeleteAww, well I sort of site manage from a vantage point, guiding Mrs H to the right spots, MOL

ERin
Lookin' good Princess! I hopes Katie finds a home soon! I gots my paws crossed real tight!
ReplyDeleteI've been chasin' the roof rats in my yardie at night, and have had little luck, maybe your Moms vacuum will do the trick! BOL
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oooh, you have them too! Now what you need is an industrial size vacuum rather than a household one—maybe even two. Then set them up on the roof and wait by the wall switch!
DeleteGood luck hunting, and do tell me how you get on .
Purrs
ERin
Very retro look, ERin. You know everything is better in black and white :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, yes the Hollywood star image (though I wasn't aiming for such—Casablanca?) really does work well for us cats. I bet Bear could be Rick from Casablanca, and would look awesome in a Fedora or Panama hat.

Wowy, 1,000 mousies at once? That's sure is a lot of mousies! I've never seen that many in one place at the same time, but Oh would that be a feast for the eyes and tummy! Mom uses the Hoover around our parts, but I have noticed that she isn't quite as diligent at using it as she used to be. I think I need to draw up a schedule for her as we pussycats like tidy households.
ReplyDeleteDearest, maybe if you pick up the umbrella the wind currents will lift you up and bring you over to me! That would be wonderful! Kiss kiss kiss, luvs luvs luvs. Your Prince, V (& Kerry) of Noir Kitty Mews
We are truly impressed with your Japanese mice-sucking vacuum. Ours just devours cat hair and an occasional mousie cat toy. So lame. Probably Ameowican made. You always take a nice photo, ERin.
