Sucking it up for the Palace?

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

This week I have mainly being dodging rain showers and very high winds. NOT in the palace I hasten to add but across the estate. Even Mrs H was caught out one day whilst digging the garden and ended up like Mary Poppins–sans umbrella–across what was left of my brassicas!

Anyways, I—being the helpful sort of princess that I am, decided to pose mid cleaning to do my selfie. Behind me can be seen the palace vacuum cleaner complete with a nifty tube for sucking up mice from those hard to reach places. This model is the Hitachi 'Super Deluxe 1000', which I'm guessing means them fiendish Japanese designers can get it to suck up 1000 mice! Personally I think them mice must be super small in Japan as not even I could cope with more than 3 mice at a time, well, not without a nap between courses, MOL

How do you guys cope with the house keeping chores, and do you have a favourite tool for helping get things done?

To see what our pals are up to this week, please go to the Kitties Blue site, or if available, click the links below, and Enjoy the Hop!

Now, If you know anyone that would like to give delightful Katie Kat (seen here in the picture below) a new home, then please DO contact Contra Costa Humane Society in Pleasant Hill, CA, USA at 925-279-2247. .  Katie is currently lodging with Ms Savvy till some kind soul can offer the safe and mature sensible and calm home home she needs.....

  15. Lovely selfie there, Erin. BEAUTIFUL!

Now about these high winds... We've had 'em, too. Mostly at night. They appear to arrive overnight when the temperatures are goin' from 10 or 12 C one day, to -10 the next. And we've been havin' A LOT of those ups and downs topsy tervy swings as of late. I'm purrin' my nip plants are okay in the garage. MOUSES!

    1. Thank you, I do love Black & White.
Now if the nip is at risk then best call in the military and the ministry to set up an emergency zone around your garage! And airlift in some warmth and extra still days and sunlight for you too. I mean we can not have Premier Seville's nip being ruined before the season and your peep has a chance to get it to maturity........ OK so maybe with your peep's track record we should leave it to you, huh?

    1. Oooh, you have them too! Now what you need is an industrial size vacuum rather than a household one—maybe even two. Then set them up on the roof and wait by the wall switch!

  23. Wowy, 1,000 mousies at once? That's sure is a lot of mousies! I've never seen that many in one place at the same time, but Oh would that be a feast for the eyes and tummy! Mom uses the Hoover around our parts, but I have noticed that she isn't quite as diligent at using it as she used to be. I think I need to draw up a schedule for her as we pussycats like tidy households.

Dearest, maybe if you pick up the umbrella the wind currents will lift you up and bring you over to me! That would be wonderful! Kiss kiss kiss, luvs luvs luvs. Your Prince, V (& Kerry) of Noir Kitty Mews

  24. We are truly impressed with your Japanese mice-sucking vacuum. Ours just devours cat hair and an occasional mousie cat toy. So lame. Probably Ameowican made. You always take a nice photo, ERin.
