A Photo Bomb?

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

This week I have been trying out a few swimming strokes. Well this one isn't exactly a stroke, more a bomb, MOL

Anyways, important things to remember are to curl oneself up when you jump into the water–or as in this instance, jump onto the duvet. This is way more important for humans so they don't get their gangly limbs damaged. Another thing I do recommend is to keep a firm hold of ones nose, to save the ingress of water. In my case, I have to watch out for feathers after a rather unfortunate incident involving a feather duvet, and a hitherto unseen ripped seam. Needless to say feathers up the nose play havoc on the nostril, not to mention the housekeepers mood for the rest of the day!

How do you all like to take the plunge when it comes to activities be they sleeping or household fun and games?

To see what our pals are up to this week, please go to the Kitties Blue site, or if available, click the links below, and Enjoy the Hop!

  1. I always remember when I hit the water badly it makes you feel rather sore and Harvey refuses to even read a post mentioning swimming (he shouted from his snuggle on the bed!!)

    1. Snails– YUCK! cant do anything with them as too slow to chase and taste awful. Always best to love a cat than taste a snail, MOL

  5. Look at you all curled up like a little ball - CUTE! I luv your water . . . er . . . duvet "bomb" position, Princess. I bet duvet bombing is most effective at dislodging any bed bugs or mites that might have found their way amongst the feathers. Then when they pop out into the air you can catch a snack! I don't have a feather duvet myself, but I do have a feather pillow that I sleep on at night. It is nice and fluffy and conforms to my body for optimum comfort. I have lots of feather toys, too. They do tickle and make me sneeze when they get in my nose, but it is super fun to whap at them. Heart kisses coming your way. -Luv, Your Prince V (& Mom Kerry) of Noir Kitty Mews

    1. Thanks Val. Just thinking of you snuggled upon a feather pillow makes me all snoozy and ready to join you–albeit miles apart and over the internet. Maybe we could have a virtual sleepover?

    1. Hi, and thank you. No problems as I do miss most folk too during the week, but will always visit when I can and if someone comes to me. Except if it's the tax man in which case I stay hidden and pretend to be only a cat ;)

    1. Yes, I just managed to get my nose covered and my eyes. Humans can't do this so I recommend a clothes peg for the nose and a mask for the eyes.

    1. Hi, Binky. The curling up bit is a definite plus, especially as there are loads of nooks, and possibly a few crannies (though I haven't met any yet) in the palace. No snails thank goodness, well not unless they get in on the salad crop, MOL

  20. This is the cutest selfie I ever saw, Princess E! The Human says I am pretty cute when I curl up, but even she says I'm hardly ever as adorable as this. I myself loves feathers--peacock fevvers, pillow fevvers, wand-toy fevvers. But I never plopped down right in a pile of them. That must have been exciting, if a little unexpected!
