Spring fever!

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

Well it's been all GO at the palace this week, literally. With the little bit of extra spring daylght, Mrs H turned in to a housekeeper-possessed, and decided it was time to make space and tidy up in the nether regions of the palace, AKA the attic.

Alas there was nothing interesting to chase up there, and so I decided to supervise the bagging up process downstairs. Here in this week's selfie you can see yours truly rising above it all—the junk— and surveying the scene just in case Mrs H had second thoughts and tried to sneak anything back into the palace.

Do you guys have to keep your eyes on your staff for anything? I know I do all the time, especially with inappropriate scratches in places I do not want scratching at that time, MOL.

Anyways, we wish you all a very happy spring clean, and may all your boxes be dust free, and filled with mice and spiders in need of rescue ;)

To see what our pals are up to this week, please go to the Kitties Blue site, or if available, click the links below, and Enjoy the Hop!

                                                     And Finally................

  1. I love the little splash of colour beside you. It makes the picture look quiet but a little more lively.

    1. Spring naps are great but way less fun than spring cleaning mice and spiders, but if you could do both, well that really would be fun, MOL

  3. I'm all for the spring napping here! Mom's a clean freak, and even though our new place is brand spanking new she still finds things that need cleaning. Dad and I won't complain.

    1. Humans and cleaning seem to go hand in hand. I don't mind but I do wish someone would invent a quiet vacuum cleaner so it doesn't frighten me from my well earned nap. Now dusting is excellent fun, especially when it comes to chasing spiders :)

  4. That's a great selfie, Erin. I have to keep a look out for the mom to make sure she doesn't catch me scratching in wrong places too. ~Ernie

    1. Thank you. Ahh, yes looking out for humans that do not like us cats doing what we like to do is a bit of a pain. I have to hunt my mice quietly in case Mrs H gets upset and catches and releases it for me!

    1. Thanks, Brian, we are standing proud and ready to do our bit for spring cleaning . . . . Mrs H just thinks that means I will be shedding more hair and leaving mice all over the place, MOL

  6. We love your selfie, Erin! And yes, we too must always keep an eye on the staff to make sure they don't try to get rid of important stuff.

    1. Ah yes, keeping what we want rather than what they think we need is so very important. Plus humans just don't seem to grasp that their stuff, unless it can be sat on or played with, is really disposable and the stuff that should go. That way there is more room for us to play. MOL

  9. Nothing interesting to chase in the attic? Not even a nice fat and juicy spider. Never mind, your selfie is lovely. I can see you are having a good look out in case something does venture into view.

    1. I know, the mice are all deaded and the spiders were lying low, I guess, or moved next door, MOL Yes I am ever vigilant for prey and/or lunch ;)

  10. With Mrs. H doing spring cleaning, your palace will soon be ready for any large fundraiser events, parties and a visit from the Queen herself! But you'd have to let the queen know that she can't try to lure Mrs. H under her employment! Could you imagine trying to find a replacement for Mrs. H?!

I've been in the attic at my house only a couple of times. The first was when I climbed the ladder to it. The second was when Mom took me up for a quick peek. Neither time was very satisfying 'cause Mom didn't let me take my time and explore. There could be zom mousies up there, but she doesn't seem to care. Tee hee hee.

Kisses, my dearest. I dream of you. Your V (Valentine & Kerry) of Noir kitty mews

  13. I do like the thought of mousies (or rats in my case) in boxes ripe for the pickin'! Alas, Ma doesn't thinks that huntin' rats at 1am is a good thing. I try and tells her they're outside, and need some deadin', butts she doesn't seem to care and just goes back to sleep. sigh.
Princess, I do loves your Selfie! It is most FABulous!

    1. Mice or squirrels in a box would be ideal, for sure. Alas I haven't yet seen any on the home shopping channels...... clearly a marketing opportunity there for a cat or dog in the know ;)

    1. Ah yes the storm did no end of harm and around here I swear it blew most of the mice away. I am however in a mind to go searching for a pile of mice caught up against a fence, as surely, like leaves, that is where they will have ended up, MOL
