Hot, hotter, and TOO HOT!

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!

This week we had a mini heatwave. Yup, the thermometer thing went all the way up to 37c and it was, for a whole three days, officially very hot. From the Upper Much-Mousing parish records, I can safely tell you that the only time things got any hotter was when there was a fire in the Parish Council Records Offices.  That was one of the reasons why they disbanded village AA society —Arsonists Anonymouse!

Anyways, here you can see yours truly keeping a weather eye on the weather, and just in case anyone, namely spiders, tried to sneak back into the gamekeepers cottage. Mrs H thought the colours on this looked very 70's. Me I was aiming for low 80's with a hint of a breeze and a long nap and a cool drink, MOL

I hope you like my slightly retro selfie this week. Thankfully no 'flares' in evidence but I did keep my eyes open just in case there was any 'peace pipes' being passed around by the village gardening society ;)

  1. You are all having it seriously warm in the UK right now! Take care and keep hydrated (this means water as well as mice!)

    1. Too hot too cold or too wet; seems to be the order of the days. Climate change is real contrary to what presidents and politicians say.

  2. We saw, on TeeVee, what hot weather you are having in the UK. Mummy says She can't remember it effur getting that hot when She used to live there. Why, it was hotter there than over here - and we're used to hot weather all summer, effurry summer!

    1. It is sad we have it so hot and for such a short length of time: days only. Not like decades past, for sure.

    1. Oh boy, that is far hotter than we got to. Rained latter though, got sunny again then back to rain today. Relief from the heat is coupled with the disappointment of a horrid wasted summer.

  14. Oh Princess, I like that you are a modern lady, who isn't afraid to show off a retro flare on occasion. I will wave my paws very fast to create breezes that I hope will reach you across the ocean and cool you and your village down. If the rains are to shower my backyard I will collect them in a bottle and float them your way so you can water the nip plants in your palace proper. Luv from Your Prince, V

    1. Hmm, paisley sounds good. I shall search Mrs H's stuff and see if I can maybe make a scarf out of one of her classic 70's items ;)
Now the offer of margaritas, if they still stand, I'll be over asap. As we have turned cold now, maybe you could serve them hot? MOL
