No Mice Here!

Hello and welcome to The Sunday Selfies!

We are joining The Kitties Blue, from The Cat on My Head blog, for the weekly celebration of blogs and bloggers from across the world and across the species.

To join in, get the Linky-Link code from their website– add it to your page– and enjoy the hop!

And now here is my selfie for the week:-

This week I have been trying to avoid folk that may be offended by MICE, especially the dead sort.

I got reported to Face Book for a violation of decency and/or their community code with my last post which portrayed a mouse that expired in the palace. And even though I had an explicit warning about the post including an image of a mouse, and both I and the mouse was decently attired in fur and not exposing anything, we violated somebodies sensibilities.

So an apology to Mr, Ms, or Mrs Offended, for showing what we cats do best—and naturally—and showing in the mildest, least-offensive and non-glorified manner that we could, the realities of life; and we hope that you are feeling better.

The said mouse was not wasted, and found a good home and fed a hungry crow family that came asking for food. Left to get on with itself, the circle of Life and Nature goes round and round; but it is man's intervention that puts a spanner in its works.

This weeks post is completely mouse free, and NONE expired in the making of it; though I cannot say that none were so lucky last night when I was out checking the palace gardens for my supper.

As an extra treat this week I thought I would give you a behind-the-scenes look at what was happening whilst my front end was dong the selfie. Mrs H and I hope you'll like this 'bit of tail' . . .  NOT a mouses. Enjoy.....

Have you guys ever done anything that left you wondering what exactly you had done that was so wrong? Do share if you can, and we can have a chuckle at life's ups and downs.

To see what our pals are up to this week, please go to the Kitties Blue site, or if available, click the links below, and Enjoy the Hop!

Now, If you know anyone that would like to give delightful Katie Kat (seen here in the picture below) a new home, then please DO contact Contra Costa Humane Society in Pleasant Hill, CA, USA at 925-279-2247. .  Katie is currently lodging with Ms Savvy till some kind soul can offer the safe and mature sensible and calm home home she needs.....

  2. OMC Erin, what do I have to do with the snacks that live on in my tummy now...gulp....
We hardly don't come on Fkb anymore, there's to much misunderstanding going on there, I think because people read only with a half eye.
You look fabulous in your tipi (it's a tipi, right) and that tail Selfie is just to cute. Pawkisses for a wonderful day🐾😽💞

    1. Hi Binky! Yes FB is so OTT on things and some people are so contrary and strange in perception. Still, thank goodness us cats aren't like that!

  4. Some peeps just live to be offended, ERin. It's a fact of life. Like this Pawlitical Correctness thing.

Just ignore them - and silly old FB. WE think your selfies are lovely - and We certainly don't mind the odd mousie or two (although We can't speak for Mummy, of course - MOL).

  5. Everyone is so easily offended these days, they need to get a life and leave others lives alone. Love your cute selfie sweet Princess!

  6. Ugh. Who knows what the heck is in those FB algorithms. We've seen stuff that was WAY more offensive on there than a dead mouse. YOu did nothing wrong, sweet Princess Erin!

  7. Princess if your rear is flipping like mine does it is such work to teach it a lesson. That meowed your selfie is so beautiful and a great reprieve from all the Stinky Man Cats who clutter up Sunday Selfie Land. ps I did one of those pesky vermin in last week too. Hee Hee

    1. Yup, sometimes it does take a lot of patience to keep the back end from exploding into life ;) MOL
Girl power is right up there on my agenda—but of course man cats do have their place in our lives, too, like my sweet Valentine.
Oooh you got one too, huh, we must compare notes though maybe best not to share the fact on FB MOL

  8. How ridiculous! It is a good job Flynn didn't post his spoils on there, countless mice, snakes, rabbits, pigeons, squirrels, a mole. The list is long and he enjoyed adding to it.
When you hear of some of the pages on there that FB refuses to take down, well words fail me!
I rarely go there now, mostly just to our local village page.
I nearly forgot about your selfie after all that. It is very sweet from both ends.

As to FB, I think I wont be recommending them to anyone based on this or their lack of response to my complaint to them. . . .

  12. That's just crazy! Though I suppose if it were a dead cat, I'd be upset and where do you draw the line?

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is crazy, I know, and shows a misplaced understanding of life and nature (as distinct from humanity and kindness). There is a line, and a definition—"vermin" based on the illness and destruction they can bring, nay wreak to a house.
Still, I guess such folk think nothing of squishing a bug or spraying flies. . . .

  14. Let me get this straight...people can post videos of teens beating one another senseless at a high school or restaurant but you can't show a dead mouse? Violence vs. the circle of life? Wow! Way to stay on top of things, Facebook.

    1. Yes, it it is all part of life, but not from Facebooks point of view it is about blanket algorithms and selling our personal data so they can make money for dude in charge.
Maybe we should all show our disapproval by just leaving it?
